Hi there,
When i set up my site i just put some generic text on my home page, which at a later date I have changed to the correct information. However, this generic text still apprears under my url in a google search, even though it has been changed. Do you know how to change this?
Thanks
Also, is there a way to get rid of the search bar on my site as I do not wish for it to be there and will not need it…. It is not showing up as a used widget I can remove….
Thanks again…
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
Please note that it can take Google some time to update its search results when you update your site. We can’t control how long Google takes to do that, but we do notify Google about any changes and new posts on your site. You can read more about how WordPress.com works with search engines like Google here.
As for getting rid of the search bar on your site, it is built into the theme and you would need to edit the CSS to remove it. This would entail purchasing the Custom Design upgrade. You can use custom font/colors in addition to editing the CSS. Feel free to look at this page to learn more about the upgrade!
