  How do I get my blog to show up in search engine results? Even if I type in the exact name/tagline, it doesn’t pop up. I checked to make sure I have my site set to public. I don’t think it even shows up when I do a search by tag on WordPress. Any ideas why? Thanks.

  New post may take awhile for search engines to populate. We can’t control how search engines work and how they would rank your website, but it’d be nice to verify and making sure everything’s in check – https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-more-views-and-traffic/

  To add more to what @edwinho89 has stated above,

  WordPress.com blogs and sites are search friendly and they automatically send notifications to Google when you post a new bog or make a page update.
  Search engines can take 4-6 weeks or even more to revisit your blog/site and discover new content.

  As a workaround you can try registering your site on Google using Webmaster’s Tools and requesting an update may help speed up your blog discovery process.
