Search engine effect of no tagline

Hi, I’m using the Vigilance theme, which I like very much. However, I don’t like the wimpy look of the tagline (blog description) and have decided to leave it blank. How much of an effect will this have on search engines seeing my blog? I do have a tagline type description in the first text widget on my sidebar as an alternative.

    Thanks for your help.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is how I look at it. I know that search engines will index 67 characters in my tagline immediately following my blog title. I know that an effective tagline containing key words that define my blog’s brand will attract potential readers doing key word searches. Am I about to toss that opportunity for inorganic traffic increase away? Not on your life. I tailored my tagline so it has 67 characters and all the words are keywords. :)
