Search engine presence
-
I know it has been asked and answered an infinite number of times.
But I cannot get my blog to show up on google unless I type in the whole name of my website. Whereas in Bing and Yahoo I can partially type the web name and it shows on the first page.
Can anyone see what I’ve done wrong? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello!
That looks like a site running a self-hosted version of WordPress. This support forum is for sites hosted here at WordPress.com
To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different things: https://wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
The support and documentation you’re looking for is here: https://wordpress.org/support/
That said, there’s a lot of competition for the front page of Google searches.. If you enter “creative-nate” in quotes on Google, it’s fine. Google is not catching the dash, so it’s searching for ‘Creative’ and ‘Nate’ Without the quotes, there’s 14M links, yours is in there somewhere :(
Hope that helps, but probably not.

Hi there,
Is your site still new? I see the Jetpack connection was only made about 3 weeks ago.
Search engines take around 8 to 12 weeks to index new sites. This also depends on how regularly you publish new content. And even when fully indexed, it’s not to say your site will show on the first page, or even the first ten pages of results, as there’s a lot of competition as @joerepublic points out.
