Search engine recognition on images
-
I just added a carousel slideshow. Is there search engine recognition for information entered for each photo? Is SEO better for one of the following- Title, Alternate Text, Caption or Description? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Nothing wrong with filling them all out to describe your images.
(Just a personal opinion: but I rarely use captions because they are ugly unless you edit their code)
It’s surprising how many of my images appear in “image searches.”

Are there any articles written about this to get more info? I’m somewhat new to this, so I don’t know about editing code. I’m looking for the information to be picked, but I didn’t know if it was picked up by all fields. Or is one more powerful than another? Thanks!

I have a picture site where I share pictures of outings – sometimes I will fill out the Alt Text with people’s names and after a while the pictures will show up on a search of the persons name – the site is low traffic and low post rate so it does take Google a while to index the pictures – on my main site I use both Alt Text and captions (lots of how to do things articles) so the captions are needed and the pictures also show up – my main site is higher traffic and indexes faster – but I don’t know the fine tune part – you might try looking on @timethief’s site for more info http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/
