search engine visibility

    Hello, one of my sites https://battleofhastingsnewsite.wordpress.com/ has been running for several months and despite links to it from other sites, and a number of visitors, it does not appear in search engine results. Two other sites that I run appear without a problem. Does anyone know why this is? I have made sure the privacy setting is ‘public’, and have added categories and tags.

    Hi there,

    There are a number of factors affecting this.

    1) Depending on what search terms you used, if you searched using “battle of hasting”, chances that other higher ranking sites will appear at the first few pages of the search results.

    2) Your site has only 1 post which was posted in June 2018. Publish more posts in a consistent manner will make the search engine recrawl your site more frequently and hence up-ranking your site in search results.
