Search engine widgets not workng
-
OK, WordPress’s search engine widgets haven’t worked for over a month. They not only fail to find what I search for, but they change search terms. I just tried searching for my Grapes of Wrath review, and the search engine changed “the grapes of wrath” to “the graves of watch.” Both widgets do this, and it’s very tacky and annoying. Please advise and fix this issue before it hurts my site stats. Thank you.

Hi there @rebeccadeniston,
I tested the search using the phrase “Grapes of Wrath” and each word separated and noticed the same issue. I can understand how frustrating that must be, especially if it’s impacting your readers’ experience. Let’s figure this.
To help us investigate further, could you let us know:
- Were you previously able to find that post using the same search phrase?
- Have you noticed this issue with any other specific search terms?
Also, please check if Jetpack Search is enabled on your site. You can find instructions on enabling it here:
