  How do i get my blog name in different search engines? Do i have to but the domain name? Does the free wordpress.com site not offer search engine support?

  WP.com is wonderfully optimized for search engines, and most of what you need is done automatically. Before you do ANYTHING, please familiarize yourself with the actual literal URL of your blog, which does not contain www. IT’s important.

  Basically, it can take up to 6 weeks for search engines to list you. You can speed up the process by blogging daily or more frequently, by using categories and tags (but never more than 12 or so on a post), and by using Google Webmaster Tools for Google.
