  I have a free WordPress site. How can I get Google or other search engines to find it?

  Hi there,

  To start, make sure your Privacy Settings allow search engines to index your site.
  Make sure your site is set to “public”. Here’s how to adjust that setting for your site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/

  In general, if your website is new, it may take 4-6 weeks or more to appear on search engines. While not necessary to be included in Google’s index, connecting your site to Google’s Search Console can help Google include your site more quickly. You can read this link below for more information:

  If there is a specific name you’d like to use for your website name in order to show on the search results, that would require adding a “custom domain” to your site, which would then require a plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/plan-features/
