Search engines

Hello, my site zodziaispalvos.wordpress.com doesn’t show up on Google, even if I type ‘site:zodziaispalvos.wordpress.com’. I wonder what might be the problem… I tried to connect it to Google’s Search Console, but this didn’t help.

    WP.com: Yes
    Correct account: Yes

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Search engines only start indexing your site once you’re regularly publishing new content – there’s no point in them indexing your site if there’s nothing to index :)

They also prefer sites with recent content, as recency = relevance as far as most search engines are concerned.

I had a look at your site, and I see you published a bunch of posts on 2 October last year, and then one post in February, and one post three weeks ago. So I’d say the issue here is most likely that you’ve not been posting regularly enough for search engines to consider your site worth indexing.

Try publishing new posts more regularly, and they should start indexing your site – each time you publish a post we ping search engines to index it, so the more you publish, the more we ping them.

Keep in mind it will still take a few weeks for this process to complete :)

Let me know if you have any questions.
