Search Engines
-
I have two blogs. This one has been going for over a month now and there has not been even one Search Engine reference, which I find surprising, as my other blog gets several every day. I wonder whether there is something tht I have omitted to do, that might generate enquiries from Search Engines. Any ideas, please?

There just seems no science to it at all, my top hits from google are posts that translate popular foreign songs into english, people wanting to know the eng stand a good chance of being directed to me, and also by providing a little background story to a song but it is by no means fool-proof. Other things is providing pics and giving them a catchy title not forgeting to assign to it url I do believe having a flickr account has helped me, every picture being linked back. In other words give Google [IMO the only search worth bothering about]tit bits of the kind that people browse. It usually is a month or so before they start picking up. Okay soldier boy? :)

You might want to make sure your privacy settings are set so search engines can find your blog.
Dashboard > Settings > Privacy: make sure the top option is selected.

http://ismyblogworking.com/ will tell you if your blog has been indexed by Google.
Note that “being in Google” and “being on the first page of results for a popular search term” are entirely different things.
