search engines

All of a sudden I have a plethora of views for a post I wrote last week. There is no referral and I see that the hits came under ‘Search Engines’ for ‘wolf’. But I cannot pull up my blog from any search engines I try. How can I find out where these flurry of hits are coming from? Why all of a sudden? No pingbacks so I am not coming from another webpage.

theres a lot of search engines that pull up different results. All you can do is guess which search engine people are using to access your blog. The only search engines I know of that show under the “referral” section is the CNN and Bing search engines (and I think the wordpress.com search engine).

This was under ‘Search engine terms’ section. From the ‘referral’ section, that is where I see what sites people have come from.

yep, and my previous comment still applies. I suppose you can try to use other stats sites like Sitemeter or Stat Counter to get more detailed stats
