Search engines affected if title not included in Settings?
-
I like to make my blog title a part of my header art. With some themes (eg, Twenty Ten), the only way to hide the default title (to avoid duplicating the title) is to not put the blog title on the Settings page. Does doing so mean my blog title will not be seen by search engines? Or to put it another way, does leaving the title off the Settings page mean the blog title will be left out of the CSS head info?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This has been discussed on the forum in previous threads. If you do not enter your blog title and/or tagline here Settings > General page then the bots cannot “read” what does not exist. Choosing to remove the blog title and or tagline is THE wrong choice to make.

So you need a theme that includes the “Hide Text” option; complete list here:

That’s as I suspected. Funny I never thought about it before. I guess it’s back to Vigilance then. Thanks!
