Search engines find my username?

Hello,
I want to start a WordPress blog about things I don’t want to share with any of my friends or family. My username is really tied into everything I do. If they search it will they be able to find my blog? Many thanks.

Hi, Click this http://bleeblu.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-privacy.php, and then click option number 2 if you wish to block search engine from showing your site.

@bleeblu – then you need to choose a user-name that is not related to you at all in a new account and then NEVER tell ANYONE about that name, never mention that blog to anyone. If people are mentioned (even with the names changed to protect the guilty ) you can’t tell anyone related to those events about the blog.

Start a NEW username. Get a new GMAIL account to open that and don’t tie that Gmail to any other email account. Then open a new blog using that gmail and blog away. Do NOT forget that you have two WP identities when leaving comments, etc.
Do not link from one blog to another, especially not in the blogroll. Do not tell anyone it’s you. ANYONE. The #1 way people’s blogs become googleable for their real name is that they tell a friend who then goes to Facebook or wherever and says “Hey, check out Judy’s new blog here” and drops the link.
