Search engines no longer find my posts
-
During my first few months of blogging, it seemed very easy to find my posts by typing Crushed Caramel into a search engine. Lots of my posts would appear. But despite being a regular publisher (at least one post at day) for almost a year, my posts seem to be impossible to find now.
Recently I helped to host a blogging event – a bake-off competition where other bloggers baked a cake and sent in photos. When I typed in THE GREAT BLOGGERS BAKE-OFF into search engines, the posts of the other two hosts and lots of the other bloggers involved appear, but there is not site of my own. I am pleased for those other bloggers of course.
But I just wondered why despite my regularity in posting, search engines don’t seem to be detecting my posts. I am using tags etc. But I seem to have fallen off their radar inexplicably.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have also noticed that for at least a month, my pingbacks have not been working. I respond to a lot of writing prompts. At the moment I can wait until my post has been published (I schedule a lot of my posts) and then copy the direct URL into the comments section of the blogger’s original prompt post.
In the past I had brief interruptions with pingbacks, but normally within a few days they were working again. This is the longest period of time they have not worked for.
Is there anyway to contact a member of WordPress staff directly? I cannot see any direct contact information.

Hi there,
Looks like one of your posts was caught by our anti-spam bot and flagged your site. I have cleared your site and it should start appearing in Google’s search results soon.
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate your response.
Do you think that might also enable my pingbacks to start working? It has been around a month that I have noticed they do not work.
I respond to a lot of writing prompts hosted by other bloggers. I can wait until my posts have been published and then copy the link into their comments, but as I schedule a lot of my posts in advance, I sometimes forget to do this.
Thank you for your help :)

Hi crushedcaramel,
I can see a pending pingback in My Sites > Comments > Pending:
https://wordpress.com/comments/pending/
You have chosen to moderate comments (and pingbacks) before they are displayed on crushedcaramel.wordpress.com — so that is why the latest pingback may appear not to have come through.
The site being flagged may have temporarily prevented pingbacks from working correctly. Now we’ve made a change on our end, do let us know if this problem continues and we’ll take another look.
