Search Keywords in stats show up shortened

I love to browse through my stats and what I find a bit annoying is the fact that the search keywords only show up shortened. Longer search terms are cropped right in the middle of a word or sentence, for example “ich habe mir den film eigentlich eher so” – which is German (since I do have a German blog…) and is obvioulsly NOT he full search term. This happens quite often and I wonder if there is a way to show the FULL search keywprds/terms even if they are a bit longer than just 2 words.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

If you hover your cursor over it, does the entire term not show? BTW Google and other search engines DO cut off their searches at a certain point, I think it’s 12 characters? So WordPress.com would not be able to provide more information than that many characters.

No, the terms do not show up on mouseover. I found out the search terms ALWAYS are cut off after 40 characters which I think is a WP related problem.

No, that’s not a WP problem. It’s the way search engines work. They only look at the first X many characters, no matter how many you enter.

I still have the feeling that this problem does not exist with many other stat tools (which we can’t use on WP.com since JavaScript is not allowed).

    Thanks anyway!
