    never mind, found it!

    however I am thinking about moving 90% of this site over to a full wordpress site or building a dedicated website. Any info on what will work best for me would be appreciated.

    I’m not sure if I should build a website with a dedicated domain name or just stick with the way I use wordpress now and just create a new name, add the features. Not really sure what’s out there and what’s changed.

    Last time I built a website it was in html, not much different than how I use wordpress today.

    I have a lot to think about and possible choices, I guess.

    It sounds like you might like experimenting for a bit. If you’re looking for inspiration and possibilities, I’d recommend exploring a few of the new tools:

    • Patterns: drop a pattern into a page, replace the images and text, remove sections if needed, etc. They’re just a great way to get started & see what’s possible.
    • List View: this comes in handy whether you’re working with patterns or the site editor, and speaking of which:
    • Site Editor: lots of possibilities here. I’d recommend watching the video as a primer.

    these are helpful, but I’m not sure how I want to present the site and pages yet. Right now I’m using WP to write a book, and I am just chipping away at it. I have to think about a number of things from, pictures, page illustrations to length of text. how each section opens and then each chapter not to mention how I want pages to return to the top either site or chapter or topic. Not sure what is the best approach. or just do an outline and simply sell the text as a book or make it all a pdf. I have plenty to think about

    It does sound like you have some planning that you want to consider! We have a slightly older suggestion here for “site-as-book” setups; it may not be exactly what you want but it could perhaps help offer one option for you to look at:
