  How do my followers and viewers search for a specific Blog name, date, tag, or category?
  Where and how can I add a button etc near the top for them to click on to search?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Categories Widget
  • Custom Menu Widget

  Seek the Search Widget support page. However, this tool is limited in what it will search for. The support page says:

  The Search widget will return results from the titles and the bodies of your posts and pages, and from media titles, alt text, file names, and single image captions. It will not return results from widgets, comments, categories, gallery captions or other text, or tags.
