search title for search widget in sidebar

  Sorry for the rather obscure title but I was not sure exactly how to word it. I just recently started a blog here. It’s really about nothing but I thought it would be fun. I am now trying to customize things a bit.

  I am using the Chaoticsoul theme. By default, in the journal search box it says “Journal Search…” If I leave the search bar there after customizing the sidebar, the search box appears empty. Is there a way I can keep the text “journal search…” there so I dont just have the empty box on the side of the page?

  The bad news is that’s the way the designer designed his theme and you cannot change it. This thread will explain to you the only choices, 3 of them, available for personalizing your blog at wordpress. The good news is you can choose another theme at any time and no data will be lost. :)

  Thanks for the link timethief. It looks somewhat complicated though. Until I figure that all out I have just added a text line above the search box and I think it will do at least for the moment.
