search widget not picking up some tags?

    Hi

    I just added the search widget to my sidebar and took it on a test run, putting in a tag I’d used in one post a while back (“dogs”), but got no results. Then I tried putting in the name of a guest blogger, which I’d also used as a tag, and this time it worked. I went to the post with the “dog” tag and redid the tag, but still nothing.

    So, my question is, just what exactly is the Search widget searching? I assumed it would search tags, but am I wrong? The guest blogger’s name was probably used in the title of her post, so maybe the widget only picks up title words? If so, that seems like something that needs improvement. I mean, since tags indicate subjects, it seems reasonable to link the Search widget to them.
