search widget of (chaoticsoul by brian veloso) has no title
-
I noticed that after I placed the search widget, the search bar is there but the word SEARCH (or search my blog) is not there. In fact there’s nothing indicating that it’s a search bar. I tried to edit it in the appearance>widgets>search>edit section but it says: There are no options for this widget. Can you guys help me out with this one? I just want the word “Search” to appear above or beside the search bar. Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

@tanduay, my suggestion is to contact staff and see if they will modify the theme files to add a title to the search widget. Because of the way it is designed, it is not at all clear that it is a search widget. http://support.wordpress.com/contact/

tanduay,
Let us know what they say. When I try it in my test blog, I have the same unlabeled search box. I don’t remember if that is the norm for the theme or not! If I put a text widget with the title “Search my blog:”( and no text in it) above the search widget, it looks okay, but that seems an odd way to have to do it. -
Yeah, putting a text widget above the search bar just doesn’t seem right. They still haven’t answered me though. Don’t worry, after I receive their email I’ll post their answer here immediately.

Nick from the WordPress staff already sent me an email. He said that he
deployed a change to the theme that adds ‘Search’ into the box. For those using ChaoticSoul, you can add a search box and you can see the word SEARCH inside it. Though not exactly what I expected (I was thinking I’d get the word above the search field), it sure works fine and in fact could have been better than what I previously wanted. Thanks to everyone here who helped, and kudos to the staff. ^^
