Search widget seems to be non-functional
-
Not sure if it will fix itself, but I took a widget out of my right footer and now the search widget looks very odd and doesn’t work. This might be theme related?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You are correct the searchbox does not work. I typed in “gymnastics” and the searchbox was “dead”. However, you have a Premium theme and I’m not sure if that search widget is one from WordPress.com or if it came along with your Traction theme. -
Thanks TT – good to have confirmation!
It is the WP one as far as I know – the same I used on Twenty Ten. It was fine up until the moment I removed the other widget from the Footer. I used it myself last night!
I’ve checked at work too – same problem – on IE9 I can actually see the HTLM displayed around the search window.
I tried removing the widget altogether and then closing the web site and then replacing the widget – all to no avail.
Certainly it was fine until I made changes to the contents of the Footer.

Hi again,
I tried the searchbox again using Firefox 5.0 and typed in “Australia” but the searchbox is “dead”. This is very odd and I guess you have gathered by now that you need some Staff help. The support link set up has changed. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form. -
***headesk*** The bold lettering was not intended – sorry. :( Thank goodness we know each other and you won’t think I was shouting at you.
