Search Widgets
-
I don’t have a search widget available on my DePo Masthead theme. I’ve checked “Appearance — Widgets” but there’s no “search button.” How can I get one?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Before I posted the question I scanned the list of widgets three times looking for the work “Search,” because all of my other blogs have themes that list that widget with just that one word name. However, I finally went back and went through the list again, reading every word of every widget name to myself, and found it listed in the “D’s” because on this theme it’s called “DePo search.” Guess I just whizzed right past it looking for names beginning with “S.”
Thanks for your response though.

DePo Masthead, is now retired. Themes are retired when they no longer support all WordPress.com features. I have this theme up on my test blog and you are correct there is no search widget displaying here > Appearance > Widgets. Despite the fact you can continue to use retired themes I suggest switching themes. if you do not want to do that then type modlook into the sidebar of this thread for Staff attention and subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they reply.

Thanks, Timethief. Yes, I realize the theme is “retired,” but I really like several features about it and wanted to use it for now. But, as I mentioned in the comment just above this, I finally discovered the search button listed under “DePo Search.” Wasn’t looking for a name starting with “D.” Was looking for “S,” so I guess I just looked right past it. But I do have it up now, so I’m going forward.
Thanks for your response. Didn’t know about typing “modlook” in the sidebar, so I’ll remember that for future problems.
