Searched posts show up truncated!

I just discovered a not-so-happy issue with my blog. It happened while I had to do a Search on a post that I had written last month. After I typed in the search word, it brought me to the article, but the article was truncated. At the bottom of the cut-off there were three or four dots …. and the words [Edit this.] — I guess as a helpful tool for if in case the blogger searched for the article in order to edit it. If I click on the title of the post, then the entire post shows up.

Anyhow, I want any viewer to be able to reach the entire article as it appears in the blog, not a truncated form of it. Not all viewers/readers know to click onto the title to get the entire length of the post, or at least the entire length of what appears in the blog. (Since some posts are cut off with a link to another site.)

Can someone please explain why my searched posts show up truncated, and what I can do to fix this? Thanks.

Oh! Now I see that has become a menu/sub-menu thing. So to get to my Dashboard I have to Click My Blogs and then click onto the correct blog AND THEN I get the option to click the Dashboard.

My vote is for the other way when it was just the Dashboard showing up there without having to scroll through to a sub-menu. ‘

I made a big mistake up there. My second post had nothing to do with the first one; it was meant for another question. My bad. 8-(

I still would like to know how I can get those posts to be in their entirety rather than truncated. ~Peregrine
