searching for blog on google

    When I type “dan pearcy maths” into Google, the first link is my blog but it’s not the homepage. It’s “danpearcymaths.wordpress.com/author/danpearcymaths/” which is a page that looks a bit awkward and doesn’t show any of the pictures or media in my blog.

    Does anyone know what this is all about? At the very least I need to change this page so that it looks like my homepage.

    We cannot control what Google chooses to display in search engine page results. All search engine issues are between bloggers and the search engines. http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
    Your blog is indexed by Google (18 results).
    Your blog is not indexed by Bing.

    Thank you for the quick reply.

    The problem is that I only have 3 pages in my blog (Home, About me, Geogebra) and I don’t know where this one has come from and why it doesn’t show any images??? I’d be happy to change it but I don’t know how to.

    Eaxamine the URL danpearcymaths.wordpress.com/author/danpearcymaths/
    You are using a tneme that provides an author profile under each post. The data for the Author byline author profile is from this page > Users > My Profile > “About you” section . If you do not wish to have an Author Profile appear then remove the information you previously provided on this page > Users > My Profile in the “About you” section and click “Update Profile”.

    If you do want to retaing that and you do want to display your gravatar/avatar then go to this page > Settings > Discussion
    scroll down to enable
    Avatar Display
    __Avatar Display Don’t show Avatars
    __Show Avatars
    “save changes”

    Clear your browser cache and cookies then click the link at the end of your most recent post in the Author Profile box http://danpearcymaths.wordpress.com/author/danpearcymaths/ and you will see your image display in those Author Profile boxes.
