Searching for commenters

  I am a University professor and I love using blogs in my courses. However, using blogger/blogspot, I have had difficulty sorting and keeping track of who submits what in terms of comments on blog posts – especially because I always get behind and have to backtrack…. Can anyone tell me if this is more straightforward here at WordPress? Could I simply search a blog to see if Melanie.Smith posted comments? If so, that’d be swell! Thanks.

  Yes, wordpress.com blogs do gave a Search utility for commenters.

  It’s FAR more straightforward here. The comments at Blogger are not well-done.

  That’s the truth. One can go mad trying to leave a comment on blogspot blogs and as aprudy indicates the blogger is hooped when it comes to searching for them in a Blogger blog. I can just type any commenter’s name into the searchbox here at wordpress.com and find their comments in seconds.

  My life just got much easier… three (legit) complaints about final grades last semester wouldn’ta happened if only I’d been here rather’n there. Done!
