Searching IP addresses to controll trolls can no longer be done?
-
I used to be able to search the comments on my page by IP address, name or e-mail addresses to see if someone was trying to troll my blog by using multiple names and now that option is no longer available. I would like to know why?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there – I tested this on my own site and found it working, but maybe I’m not fully understanding the experience you’re sharing.
When you arrive on the page but do not find the option, could you share the link to that page with us? That should help us see what you see, and give us a better idea of what to do next. Looking forward to your reply. :)

It’s not a page. I used to be able to click on discussion and then be brought to a page where I could put in say an IP address or an e-mail and find every comment the person who used that IP address, made. So I could know if someone was using 3 different names and trolling. Basically, I want to be able to search an IP address or e-mail and see what name they posted.
I can no longer do that.
This page will be gone tomorrow so I won’t be able to find an answer

Hi there,
This is still possible from the WP-Admin comments management page. For the site you listed above, that page can be found at https://stilesandlydia.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.php, though that site doesn’t have any comments.

Yeah, this is crap. Thanks, kokkieh, for the URL for finding the WP Admin edit comments page with the search box, but it should be straightforward to search your comments.

Hi @thaumaturgical, if the wp-admin link resolved the issue and is your preference, can you make sure you’ve got your menu preferences set here?

Ahh – thank you very much! That view seems to have been turned off during an upgrade a few weeks ago.
