Searching WordPress blogs

  I am logged into wordpress.com and using the reader feature. I really just want to search for blogs on the wordpress platform (the recomendations are not interesting to me at all) so that I can have some blogs to follow. I can’t figure out how to just do a basic search of wordpress blogs.

  Use tag search to locate blogs with published posts that have been assigned categories/tags on topics you are interested in.

  Here’s the format:
  http://wordpress.com/tags/knitting

  Just change the final keyword(s) to locate blogs you are interested in reading like this: http://wordpress.com/tags/photography

  I also note that your wordpress.COM username is linked to a site that is NOT hosted by wordpress.COM. Do not expect to find any search results that lead to sites that are not hosted by wordpress.COM. As they are not hosted by wordpress.COM no published posts on those sites will appear on the wordpress.COM categories/tags pages.

  We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites and that one is not among them. Our support docs do not apply to (1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or (2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM. You are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  When you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
