  I would like to search our wordpress.com family for blogs like mine/of the same subject. I’ve been hitting the ‘random blog’ to visit blogs, but I’m not getting to what I’d like to find. Is there a way to more specifically search through wordpress, to locate people talking about the same subject? A search spot I haven’t yet run across that someone could direct me to? Thank you very much in advance.

  You can always try the global tag pages:
  http://wordpress.com/tag/SUBJECT_YOU_WANT_TO_SEE

  Also, Google can search just wordpress if you enter “site:wordpress.com” (without the quotation marks) in front of your search terms

  I’ve been using http://blogsearch.google.com a lot more lately, its been a godsent for finding similar blogs to my own. Works really well aswell

  If you use http://blogsearch.google.com then then type in site:wordpress.com (note the lack of spaces) along with your search tag and you will find “the motherload”.
  For example:
  cloned food FDA site:wordpress.com
  genetically modified food site:wordpress.com
