second blog

Hello my dear WordPress friend!!
I would now like to know how I can delete my blogs as I no longer want to continue with them.
Can I successfully copy and paste the current content onto a word document in order to save what I have written or is there another way of saving the material?
As always, I’d appreciate your expert advice in this matter!!
Best wishes,

This is possible, but not ideal. I recommend you save your work in two ways.
First, download an export of each site. You won’t be able to read the export directly, but if you ever decide to blog again you’ll be able to import it to the new site. Here’s how to export your content:
If you’d also like to have formatted versions of the content, you can copy and paste into Word, but creating PDFs of the pages you want to keep will look nicer and might take less time. To do that, you’ll add the “print” sharing button to both of your sites. Here’s how that works:
Once you have the print button, you’ll navigate to each post and page you want to keep, click the print button, and Print to PDF.
After that’s all done, the options for deleting your sites are here
Remember, deleting your sites is permanent and once you do it you won’t be able to get your URLs back, so if there is any chance you might want to pick up where you left off in the future I recommend you set the sites to private instead. Here’s how you can do that:

Thanks for the information and the links. I “think” I did what you said but when I went to ‘setting’s and ‘sharing’ a ‘print’ button did not appear along with the other options.
Did I miss something???

Just to make sure we are talking about the same page, is this where you were?
https://maggiesmoments.wordpress.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=sharing
It’s the second section (called sharing buttons, not publicize) and print is the second button. Just drag it down into the enabled services and you’ll be good to go.

Yes it is. I did find the “Print” icon but I seemed to have difficulty printing it so I just copied and pasted the writings into Word documents.
I just left a little explanation as to why I was closing the blog and after a few days will go ahead and shut it down completely according to your instructions.
Thank you so much for ALL of your help!! You have been amazing!!
Blessings to you!

Me again!
I followed the link that you posted and tried to delete the site but was told that I could not do so because I had an upgrade – which I do not have at this moment.
Could you please help me circumvent this new glitch!!!
Thanks,

There is still one upgrade on one of your sites. You have the custom domain maggiesmoments.com connected to http://maggiesmoments.wordpress.com/.
If you think you might want to start a different website here or anywhere else in the next several months, you’ll want to keep it as it can be hard to get a domain back once you cancel it.
If you are done with websites for the moment, I’ll cancel the domain and you’ll be free to delete the sites.
Let me know which way you want to go.

Hello again:
I definitely am done with the websites – at least for the foreseeable future – so I would appreciate it very much if you could go ahead and cancel the domain.
Thanks again for all of your help!!

I’ve cancelled your domain. You will be able to delete the site following the instructions from before now.
Let me know if you have any trouble.

Thank you once again for all of your help in recent weeks. You’ve been tremendous.
I have deleted my site and I want to take this opportunity to wish you God’s very best in everything.
Blessings,
