Second page displaying my eleventh post with text from the first one.

Hi, I’ve started my blog not so long ago, and I’m having trouble with displaying my posts properly.
I’m trying to publish pages from my book, so I try to keep things chronological. I’ve tried the method with changing post date to an earlier date every time (not using plugins), and it seemed to work fine. Until I hit page 2 after publishing ten posts.
Now, instead of the content of post 2.2, which should have been the second page of chapter 2, i get the text of post ‘1.’ which was the first published post.
For clarification, I’ll add that both ‘1.’ and ‘2.2’ are posts that are at the top of their respective pages 1 and 2. Please help.

  • Hi @mooselancer, can you have a look now and confirm it’s working? I had a hunch it was related to the “inherit query” toggle in your query loop block, and that seems to have fixed it.

Also, I noticed you’re displaying the posts “newest first” even though you probably aren’t actually re-posting the first chapter every time to keep it on top. I am guessing you’re adjusting dates to achieve that? If so, there’s a setting in the query loop block to go oldest first.

The Query Loop block allows you to display posts based on parameters you specify. This block is similar to the Blog Posts Block, but with greater complexity and flexibility, allowing you to create things like a portfolio of projects or a page full of your favorite recipe posts. Add the Query Loop Block To add the Query Loop block, click on the + Block Inserter icon and search for “query”.

We’d love any feedback you’ve got on navigating the site editor, so let us know how it goes!
