Second row of pages not working – Contempt
-
I am using the theme Contempt. I have added quite a lot of pages and they have gone on to two lines. The pages on the second row are not working, I can not click on them. Can anyone help?

That’s the way the theme is designed. Having too many header tabs is neither practical not elegant. You can turn some of them into child pages (only parent pages show in the header) and add the Pages widget, so that the complete list will show in your sidebar.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me. Yeah I have done that already but I need certain things to be static pages at the top and 7 doesn’t seem that many. Is there any reason it doesn’t work as I have looked at other peoples blogs and they all seem to have 2 rows and they work fine.
Thanks

This one for example has 2 rows and they work fine http://thewickedword.wordpress.com/, it seems odd that it allows me to add 2 rows but then the second one doesn’t work.
Thanks

But that’s not Contempt! I said that’s the way the theme you’re using is designed; doesn’t apply to all themes.

Oh right ok, that seems weird, if it lets me add them but then don’t work!
Can I make the width of the page wider so I can fit more on the top row? Thanks

Only if you buy the CSS upgrade and know what to do with it.
Note that it’s not the theme that lets you add the pages; it’s the page editor, which is generic – designed to work regardless of the theme. Some themes will handle multiple header tabs, some others won’t, while many themes don’t even have header tabs.
