I observe in my website STATS that visitors are downloading media I have on the site, and incredibly from a page with a password. Can you please give insights? can I have a password for each media?

Hi there,
The files being downloaded are PDF documents. It’s not your visitors that download those files, but their browser instead. All browsers have a built-in PDF viewer, so they must download the file to display it.
So, when one of your visitors needs to read one of those documents, your stats count it as a download.

Thanks for the reply, nevertheless the pdf files can only be selected on a private page with a password, so how is this possible. And the visitors are unknown to me. Most from countries I don´t know people.

Have you shared that password with any of your visitors? If you have, I recommend changing it, as it may have leaked.
If you want to share your content with only specific people, then I recommend setting up a site as private. This was only people that you have granted access to it will be able to view it. Here’s how that works:
