  I tried to do the next step security but each time I put Nigeria (+234) and type in my phone number, it says the number is invalid. How do I make it work?

  What exactly are you trying to do? Are you trying to purchase an upgrade?

  Below are the only accepted means of payment.

  If for whatever reason, they have chosen to block payment from your country, you will not be able to purchase an upgrade here unless you have a source of payment outside of your country. Note: You can buy a prepaid credit card from an approved country.

  In addition to major credit cards Mastercard, VISA, American Express, Discover, and PayPal https://www.paypal.com/worldwide/ WordPress.com can accept echecks and some debit cards.

  The debit card must have a VISA or Mastercard symbol on it, and should work just like a credit card when selecting the VISA or Mastercard option on the payment form, even though it’s a debit card.

  Thanks for replying, I wasn’t trying to purchase an upgrade. I got a notification concerning Two-step Authentication and that’s what I was doing.

  It’s not required for you to manually enter the country code into that box, you just need to select it from the ‘Country Code’ drop-down menu.
