Security Breach / Links off site I did not insert

Yet again I have found clicks off my site to web sites I did not put on my blog and can’t find on my blog – several clicks from my site to captnmike.free-pc.net/ – the link then redirects to a scam site.
Please also note that I have the No Ads Upgrade so there should be no links to slime ad sites
I did not put the link on my site – Omni-Search can’t find any version of the link

I struggle on how an infected browser should be able to leave any mark on stats I see – and we don’t have access to exit links / stats – so should only show a link that is actually on my site – But an infected browser should not be able to access anything on my blog – should not leave anything but page views

I’m checking with our folks who handle the stats to see if they have any idea where that link is coming from. I’ll keep you posted.

@auxclass, it appears a visitor to your site has malware in their own browser that is injecting ads based on the site they are visiting. For some reason our stats are capturing that click, and we’re looking into fixing that in the future.
In the meantime, while it’s a bit of an annoyance to you, rest assured that the link is not on your blog and is not malware on your end.

Thanks Jackie – I searched pretty hard to find the link, was afraid I might have let something in with a comment or something – then Omnisearch did not find anything, so I filed this report –
