  my domain is registered with a different service but wordpress hosts the website. If I change from a free program to a paid program will the website then be https automatically? What DO I need to do to ensure the https?

  Is this for the site fremontgarden.org? If so, your site is hosted with a different hosting provider and not WordPress.com. Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  You would need to contact your current hosting provider for help in procuring an SSL certificate for your domain. That’s what you’ll need to have your site load using https.
