  I have a wordpress account that I have added my resume to and now all of my personal informations like my address and phone number are being displayed when you search my name on google. I do not feel safe with it out in the open like that

  First of all remove the resume.

  Second, WordPress.com has no control over how long it will take Google to remove it from their cache of your site. You can try to speed up the process by contacting Google directly. See this support doc http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

  You can delete the information from the blog but Google and Bing only clear their caches every 3 – 6 months. Some search engines their caches. For Google if you have deleted the original content from the blog and the removed page is producing a 404 (page not found) then you can use the URL removal tool .
