Security /screening question

  I’ve just switched over from Blogger and there I had the ability to have all comments to my posts routed through my email where I could check the information for content before publishing. Is there such a method available on wordpress? Most people play nice on blogs but occasionally I get some spam and some people who just post ugly comments. Thanks in advance. Joe

  You cand defintely turn on ‘comment moderation’ for your blog. If you go to your Admin => Options => Discussion and there the options are for comments. You can get an email whever someone posts a comment and also check ‘an administrator must always approve the comment’ if you want every comment to be moderated before placed up!
