Security Warnings
-
I have a website https://www.therealestjaredwillis.com. When I link to my wordpress blog (https://www.therealestjaredwillis.wordpress.com), I get a security warning. How can I fix this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I think I may have accidentally figured this out on my own… I believe that there is some type of loop created when you link from an external source into a wordpress site using “https” in the link address. Apparently, by using only “http” instead of “https” in my external link, I was able to fix this security issue… or at least find a way around it. Maybe it has something to do with wordpress redirecting external links to the https site?

Hi Jared,
I’d say the best thing to do is not link to your site with a www subdomain, at least as long as you’re linking to your site using your therealestjaredwillis subdomain on WordPress.com
It’s likely that the SSL/TLS certificate is not configured to allow this type of URL.
Hope this helps!

To be more clear, I mean to link to:
https://therealestjaredwillis.wordpress.com/
in lieu of:
https://www.therealestjaredwillis.wordpress.com/

Jay
