See Facebook Shares and Comments

    Hi. I just wanted to make a suggestion. Facebook is such a major factor in social media right now, and I am glad WordPress has allowed Facebook integration that the blogger can see the number of shares made on FB for a particular blog.

    However, I wonder if you can take this further, like show WHO shared the blogs, and what comments were made when they shared those blogs. This will be helpful for bloggers to get feedback about their blogs. Thanks.

    Thanks for the suggestion. From my understanding from Facebook’s documentation is that their API (what different websites use to contact and interact with each other) doesn’t return that information, so we couldn’t parse it out for you to view.

    In testing out my site with Facebook’s tool, the best info I could pull is simply the number of shares. Within their interface, they do provide info on who shares various items that were originally created on Facebook (e.g. when you share something on Facebook and then someone else shares that), they will provide additional information.

    I will add this to our wishlist and will continue to monitor Facebook’s options. Thanks for using WordPress.com! Please let me know if you have any questions or need anything else.
