Seedlet Theme Link Colour
-
Hello,
I’m having issues with the Seedlet theme’s link colour – the original theme has a white background, but for some pages in my blog the link to posts is showing up as white, and only when I hover over it is it green (the colour I set). I can’t find anywhere to change this, I have the free version of WordPress and I’m looking for answers but can only see that I’d have to use CSS in a paid version to fix this. I can’t believe that this would be something I can’t fix even when I didn’t change the background colour from the original.
I encounter the issue on cmkhunter.wordpress.comcmkhunter.wordpress.comcmkhunter.wordpress.com when I go to content -> choose a type, and all the posts with that tag show up and the links are white until I hover over them.Anybody have any ideas on what I could do about this? I really like the theme and hope I don’t have to switch it, or switch the background colour just for these links.
Thanks!

Hi,

The link color on the Seedlet theme doesn’t show until you hover over or point at the link. That’s how it’s supposed to work. If the color of the text of your links is white in some cases, that’s unrelated to the link color. On your site all of the text seems to be in shades of black or gray.
when I go to content -> choose a type, and all the posts with that tag show up and the links are white until I hover over them.
Your “Content” menu item links to a page that includes links to category and tags archive pages. I haven’t detect any white text in those archive pages. Can you point to a specific example where the text color of links is white?

Hi musicdoc1, thank you for responding.
Yes I saw that the Seedlet theme doesn’t show until you gover over the links, but only after I wasn’t on the homepage itself. The homepage shows all links in a black/grey font which I’ve set the colour of. However, once I go to the page where there are tags archive pages, the links of page titles and all of the tags, etc. cannot be seen until you hover over them. If this is how the theme is supposed to be, I find that pretty confusing. I just hope there is a way to change this, it’s the only problem I have with this theme. Here is a URL to a screenshot of what I see. https://imgur.com/a/piBC1DJ -
Here’s what that page looks like to me: https://snipboard.io/bi3scm.jpg.
I suspect the whiting out or hiding of link text that you’re obtaining might be a browser issue. Have you tried viewing the archives pages on an alternate browser or device?

Oh wow, yes I tried Internet Explorer and it looks fine, same thing with Google Chrome on mobile. The links have that issue when I use Microsoft Edge. Thank you for your help, I’m glad that was the issue!

You’re welcome!
Staff might respond here regarding the issue with Microsoft Edge.
Here’s another screenshot that shows the metadata below the post excerpt, including author, date, category, tag, and leave a comment links: https://snipboard.io/P0dYVC.jpg. I’d inadvertently omitted those links in the first screenshot.

This is what I see at https://cmkhunter.wordpress.com/ under Edge 85 and Windows 10: https://d.pr/i/MGtHTf
