Seeing adsense while logged in
-
Ok, so I was logged in to WordPress.com and looking at my dashboard and under “Top Posts from Around WordPress” I see a SWPL post I would like to read and click on it. As I neared the end of the post, what did I see? Google Adsense ads! Staff says you will not see ads when you are logged in (well OK, volunteers say that staff said, I don’t remember seeing where they said that myself).
I was logged in. No really I was. I saw Adsense. No really I did. Look! A screenshot:
Now granted, the ads are very well targeted as all three of them are stuff white people would certainly want to click on, and WordPress is obviously rubbing their hands together and going BWAHAHAHAHAHA imagining all the extra revenue they can generate off of this very popular blog (near 18,000,000 hits since January of this year), but still, I was logged in!

I keep a really big wooden spoon to stir pots with. Interesting that SWPL doesn’t use the more tag that I can tell, and the ads are only on the single-post pages. I just clicked on about 6 different post titles and each of the single post pages had ads, but not on the main blog pages.
I was wondering if SWPL had gone VIP, but if that were the case, why would they not put some ads on the main blog pages? People seldom go to the single post pages since they really don’t have to. Of course if they come from a link on another site, or a search, they would get the single post page. Not sure if the plan is deviously cunning or a Homer Simpson moment.
