Seeing error on my website

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently clicked on two buttons thinking I was upgrading my plugin and theme but instead something went wrong. After I refreshed my page I’m seeing this error instead of my website design:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’, expecting ‘&’ or variable (T_VARIABLE) in /home/aahmed07/public_html/wp/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/l10n.php on line 123

I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. Please help as I don’t know much about WordPress

  • Hello there,

This site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

It means we can’t help with this site.

The error you’re seeing is with the plugin Contact Form 7, I’d recommend disconnecting this plugin if you can. The hosting provider may be able to do this for you, as this is causing website downtime.

    I hope this helps.
