Seeking clarification regarding ‘Reset this importer’

I want to reimport my Blogger account, of which I had made some modifications since an initial import when I migrated to WordPress.
When I click on ‘Reset this importer’, I am warned that:
“This will delete everything saved by the Blogger importer except your posts and comments. Are you sure you want to do this?”
My question is this: Does the warning actually mean that the importer will wipe everything I have imported from Blogger from the first time round, or will those imports be treated as ‘orphaned’ and be left alone?
I am assuming reimporting will definitely not affect all the entries I have posted in WordPress.

Although I could be wrong, I believe I saw this same question being asked before on the forum. Maybe it would be worthwhile to check in the forum search box while you’re waiting for the staff to get back to you.
