Seeking help changing hyperlink colour
-
Hi Internet.
I am looking to change the colour of the hyperlinks, but only those that I make in the text of my posts and pages (i.e. not the buttons/menu options in widgets or elsewhere).
I’ve tried to use the Oxygen Theme Options, but even after saving the new colour, it made no difference.
I made some minor changes to custom CSS, but none that I think should override the theme option change.
The colour I’m trying to use is #fe5f55
My theme is ‘Oxygen Theme’

- An update
I found this code in the support forums:
} .entry-content a:visited, .comment-content a:visited { color: #fe5f55; } .entry-content a:hover, .comment-content a:hover { color: #fe5f55; }It seems to have correctly changed colour of ‘post’ hyperlinks, but only for the most recent post – which is curious. Any thoughts on why that might be?
And secondly, it is changing the colour of some titles in ‘Related Posts’ at the bottom of the post (the change worked on), but not others(?)

Hi there,
I think you can change the link color of links in the content of your pages and posts more simply with this:
.entry-content a { color: #FE5F55; }I’m not sure if that is the color you want, so if you want to replace it, you can use the following free online tool to find the 6 character hex code for any color you wish: http://www.colorpicker.com/
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

staff-totoro, thank you very much – this is much neater, and it’s working as I had hoped.

Hi there!
Sorry to spam you both, but how can a non-CSS savvy user deal with the same issue in the “Spun” theme?
Best,

Hi @rmeyersconnectado, since you are using a different theme, and since CSS is generally theme specific, can I ask you to create a new thread in the CSS Forum? Many thanks in advance.
