Seeking Help to Migrate from WordPress.org to WordPress.com: Advice Needed

  • Unknown's avatar

I’m planning to change the CMS for my website. Currently, I’m using WordPress.org, but I’m considering shifting to WordPress.com. One of the main reasons is that I’ve been facing constant issues with the sitemap on WordPress.org, while a friend of mine who uses WordPress.com doesn’t have any such problems. Does anyone have any ideas or advice on how to make this shift?

    Hey there!

I’ve attached a link from the WordPress.com Support page on how to request free migration services. This should help you get started in the right direction.

    Hope this helps!

I tried the plugin you suggested, but I’m still facing issues with my sitemap. I’ll send you a screenshot so you can check it yourself. I’ll also share the link to my website. Please take a look and help me resolve this issue as it’s still causing problems.

  • Hey there! While your site is hosted with another provider, we are not able to assist with the sitemap, as we have no access to your site whatsoever. The best place to ask for help addressing that concern would be in the WordPress.org forums, here; https://wordpress.org/support/welcome/

If you decide to migrate over to WordPress.com, our hosting service automatically generates an XML sitemap for you, and can help with plugin troubleshooting if it gets disrupted.

I’ve sent you an email directly with more details about our migration service; feel free to reply there with any questions about how migrations or our hosting services work!
