Hosting my site with SiteGround. Definitely using WordPress.COM

Logging into my WP Admin through SiteGround yields my domain and website, working properly. Profile shows NO GRAVATAR. However, CANNOT access through WP login.

Logging into my WP Admin through WP login yields my domain and website (listed as “Coming Soon” but is the exact website when accessed through SiteGround). Profile shows my GRAVATAR. However, cannot access through SiteGround.

SiteGround states they have only ONE wordpress account linked to them.

BOTH WP accounts use DIFFERENT USER NAMES AND PASSWORDS.

What did I do wrong and how do I fix it?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Additionally, all my purchases show on the account I’m posting from (the one described in paragraph 3 above) but none add-ons or plug ins…I get a message saying “website cannot be accessed” whenever I try to look at anything on my site.

The account described in paragraph 2 above – accessed through SiteGround) shows all my work on my site but I cannnot access information about my WP purchases or my domain purchase on this account (although I can on the other).

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It’s driving me nuts and I’m at a loss at this point.

Hi there, I have checked and the 4dogsdown.com domain is pointed at Siteground, which means the site is not hosted here at WordPress.com, but at Siteground using the WordPress self-hosted software from WordPress.org, so we will not be able to help you with that site.

It appears that your site was migrated from WordPress.com hosting to Siteground hosting on 2021-12-27. There are two types of WordPress site, those hosted here at WordPress.com, and those hosted on other site, typically referred to as self-hosted or “WordPress.org” sites.

    The differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

The 4dogsdown.com domain is registered here at WordPress.com and pointed to your site at Siteground. To renew or manage the domain, go to your profile (to the left of the ? icon at top right in the dashboard here) and go to Purchases. Your domain registration is good through 2023-09-26 and will renew 30 days prior on 2023-08-26.

I see also you have an eCommerce plan with us used on the site before it was moved to Siteground. If you are going to continue your hosting with Siteground, you would not need to renew that eCommerce plan with us. To cancel it, at Purchases (link I gave above) click on the eCommerce plan and then click the cancel link toward the bottom.

You may wish to consider moving your site back to WordPress.com and then everything would all be in one place, and you would then have full access to our 24/7 Live Chat and email help for the site.

If you wish to discuss moving your site back to WordPress.com, just let us know.
