Sela: Centering Post Title On Featured Image

    Hello,
    I haven’t yet started using Sela and before I take the plunge, I wanted to know if this could possibly be changed with Custom CSS. I’d like the white box with the title to be centered on the featured image (like in the Twenty-Fourteen theme).
    Can this be done, and if so, how?
    Thanks so much,
    Mariana

  • Are you referring to the Sela theme demo page when you say ” white box with the title”? If so, isn’t that already centered?

    Could you elaborate a bit please?

    Oh, yes, I can see that I wasn’t clear. The box on the Front page of the Sela demo is centered. But I meant the blog post titles.
    If you go to the Sela demo and click through to the blog (not the home page), you’ll see that the post title overlaps on the featured image. But the white title box for the posts extends all the way to the right, so that while the left shows a bit of the photo, the bottom right corner of the photo is obscured by the post title.
    I’d like to change that so that the overlapping part of the post title/the white box is centered, so that we can see the bottom left and right corners of the image (like in the Twenty Fourteen theme’s feature images–like the first post titled “Featured Images Really Shine in This Theme”).
    Thanks!

  • Thanks for taking time to explain. I get it now :-)

    Currently there is 0 right margin on the featured images. I set it to 7.5em which seems to do the trick. You can adjust it to your liking.

    .post-thumbnail + .entry-header {
        margin-right: 7.5em;
    }
