Sela – Grid Question
-
Hello,
I wanted to know: Is it possible for me to include my grid page in my menu without its content pages showing up as separate (sub)menu items? Thanks in advance for your help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Surely!
Go to you Menu dashboard screen at https://claireshegoes.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php
Select your menu from Select a menu to edit: dropdown box and click Select
In the Menu Structure panel to the right, identify your grid page.
Remove the sub menu items by clicking Remove button corresponding to all child pages of the grid page.
Once you remove your sub menu items, click the blue Save Menu button by the right edge of the screen.
Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Hi. Thank you so much for your instructions. Unfortunately, they didn’t work:
On the right side of my page, the submenu pages don’t appear as separate items. Therefore, I can’t remove them in the way that you described.
I even backtracked and removed Portfolio (my grid page) from my menu), and added it again from the left-hand side of my page. I made sure that the checkboxes beside the submenu items were empty. However, the grid pages still appear as separate items.
For now, I’m going to try and fiddle with my site a bit more. If I can’t remove the individual pages, I’ll have to pursue another option.

Can you confirm that you are editing the menu assigned as Primary Menu under Manage Locations tab here: https://claireshegoes.wordpress.com/wp-admin/nav-menus.php?action=locations
I am sure you can remove the child pages from your menu. I tested this on my test site and it worked.

Wow…Thank you!
I hadn’t set my menu as the Primary Menu on my site. Once I did, the child pages were removed.
Thanks again!
