Sela Mobile Menu Problem

    Hi there,

    When I use the Sela theme mobile option, the menu that pops up is the social icons menu instead of our website’s headers (primary menu?) where customers to find out the most important info (contact, gallery, etc.). I’ve created a workaround by adding three widgets to the main page, which show up in the non-mobile version, but ideally, I’d like all website header links to show up in the menu on the mobile site. Would I have to create a new menu and replicate the existing headers in this menu to have it show up in the mobile version?

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi, Beautiful dresses btw.
    I tried out the Sela theme… are you talking about the bottom menu? Did the menu option?
    Did you notice that it added a primary menu too?
    I think what I discovered as that the bottom menu areas is only for social icons and is activated when you assign primary menu.

    Could you go to your Dashboard > Appearance > Menus > Manage Locations tab and see what is set as the Primary Menu?

    Please ensure the menu set as the Primary Menu has the menu items (Home, About Us, News etc.) in it.

    Let me know if it did not help :-)

    Thank you! We just moved so we’re glad that the new place is getting good feedback :).

    I created a new menu and selected as the primary menu with all necessary headers but when I look at our site on my phone, the mobile menu still displays the social menu and not the primary one. Is it possibly because I created the social menu in my admin dashboard first? I’m not sure if WordPress uses order of creation to determine default settings.

  • Ah, I see you activated the mobile theme which is indeed not needed as your theme, Sela is responsive and so it adapts superbly to various screen sizes.

    So could you turn off the mobile theme and you will see the Sela theme looks gorgeous on your mobile :-)

    When I turn off the mobile version, the headers (about us, contact, gallery, etc.) on the website disappear on my phone (I use an Android). Users are only able to see the front/home page on their phone. This is the only reason why I enabled the mobile version (though to be honest, I would like to avoid using the mobile version if possible). Currently, I’ve mitigated this by using the three widgets at the bottom of the site, but considering how many navigational links, it would be great if all of them were visible and clickable.

    I’ve disabled the mobile site so you can take a look.

  • Sigh! The menu toggle (hamburger) is indeed there on smaller screens but is camouflaged in white!

    Adding this CSS to the CSS Editor will reveal its presence :-)

    .menu-toggle,.menu-toggle:hover, .menu-toggle:focus {
    	color:black;
    }

    Have you got a Custom Design upgrade?
